Bridge The Gulf featured on MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry Show!

Bridge The Gulf Project was featured as a "Foot Soldier" by Melissa Harris-Perry on her MSNBC show this weekend!  (Watch here).  What an honor to be recognized by the Tulane professor, author of the recently published book Sister Citizen, and New Orleans resident.

It was also a great opportunity to share the current state of Gulf Coast communities two years after the BP oil disaster began, through the Troubled Waters report and interview series.  Harris-Perry specifically celebrated advocate Cherri Foytlin for her walk to Washington D.C. to call for complete recovery after the BP oil disaster, and Daniel Nguyen, who is working with Vietnamese fisherfolk on aquaponics projects and farmers' co-operatives.
