9:00am CST - Off-Shore Drilling Forum - The forum will allow the government to "engage the public and experts on issues to determine what additional measures are needed so deep-water drilling can proceed in a manner that is safe for crews, the environment and coastal communities." Location: Crowne Plaza Houston-Downtown. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Two more forums are planned for Biloxi, Miss., (on Sept. 10) and Lafayette, La., (in mid-September).
