It's a big week this week for those concerned about the Bayou Corne community, located near the site of Texas Brine's sinkhole. Here's what's happening:

People like myself have been accused of being "alarmists" when it comes to some of the information that we gather, review, do our best to determine the veracity of, and then post for all to see.
Over five months since the Texas Brine sinkhole first appeared over the Napoleonville Salt Dome, residents of Bayou Corne, Louisiana continue to struggle to be heard – particularly by Governor Bobby Jindal.
In a letter published in today's Advocate, the Vice President of Operations of Texas Brine states that the company's sinkhole in Bayou Corne, LA has caused "no residential property damage." But some Bayou Corne residents disagree, and are posting photos on Facebook to show what they say are residential property damages caused by the ongoing disaster. Residents say they have informed both Texas Brine and local officials of these damages.
On August 3rd, a nearly 400-foot wide sinkhole opened up near Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou in Assumption Parish, Louisiana, turning cypress forest into a massive slurry-filled hole.
