Video from Shelby, Mississippi: "These are our stories – The stories of young kids and healthcare"

My good friend Reilly Morse with the Mississippi Center for Justice shared this video with me, with the following note:

"I don't do this sort of thing often. I hope you will take a moment to look and agree that this is something special.

Four teenage boys in Shelby MS  in the Delta did this music video with some help from MCJ about why the Affordable Care Act will matter in their lives and those of their family and friends...

Derrick Christopher Evans is the director of
Turkey Creek Community Initiatives and an advisor to the Gulf Coast Fund for Community Renewal and Ecological Health. Since 2001 he has worked to help protect and revitalize his coastal Mississippi community and sister communities throughout the region. Prior to that he taught civil rights history at Boston College and social studies in the Boston Public Schools.
