Shirley and Don Tillman, residents of Pass Christian, Mississippi, have owned shrimp boats, an oyster boat and many pleasure boats. They spent much time on the Gulf of Mexico before working in BP's Vessels Of Opportunity (VOO) program looking for and trying to clean up oil.

Independent Findings of Scientists, Fishermen, Journalists and Advocates

Independent scientists, fishermen, journalists, and advocates have taken testing of Gulf waters, sand, and seafood into their own hands. The results prove that the Gulf still has dangerous levels of oil and toxic dispersants from the BP disaster, despite claims from federal agencies and BP.

I was listening to kpft in Houston and heard this great talk on TUC Radio with Julia Whitty. I've been particularly concerned with the discussion on what the short and long term environmental impacts of the bp drilling disaster are going to look like. Much of the media has been reporting that most of the oil is gone.
